As always, Debit card are good for its purpose as there is no annual fee and also you avoid paying for the RM50 yearly tax. This is as good as a Visa credit card, whereby it is accepted 29 million Visa accepted outlet worldwide. This is a great way to provide your child some other form of money in case of emergency or a way to control you child spending.

On top o fthat you earn 1 Treats Points for every RM3 spent and you can set your purchase limit.

Eligibility: Have Maybank saving/current account, > 18 years old. For aged between 12 to 18 years old, Indemnity Letter is mandatory to be signed by parents or guardian as a condition to open imtenn Account. They are required to go to the branch to sign the letter.

Conversion from Maybankard Bankcard to Maybankard Visa Debit: RM12
Replacement Card: RM12

Note there is transaction fee after the forth transaction in a month

  • Fifth Transaction at Maybank ATM: RM0.50 per withdrawal
  • To have unlimited witdrawal at Maybank ATM, notify them for RM8 per annum.
  • RM1 withdrawal from other domestic bank
  • RM12 for cash withdrawal at international bank
  • Penalty fee for overdrawn: RM10
